    “Some people think the name of the hotel is the Republic,” said Katie Kellogg, chief operating executive for the AC Hotel and the Republic on Grand lounge, which sits atop the hotel on the sixth floor and is gaining a reputation for both its views and its craft cocktails with Iowa themes.
